Dutch Icarian Longevity offers three environmentally friendly villas on Ikaria, each guaranteeing privacy, a peaceful environment and inspiring views. They are fully equipped and therefore offer everything needed for a completely comfortable, relaxing and very memorable stay.
These Monopati Eco Villas are located on the north side of the island in the village of Agios Polykarpos.
The villa construction is based on what the island nature has to offer and aimed at the least impact on the environment. It was built according to the Ikarian tradition using local materials such as stone, wood and bamboo. Modern and traditional architectural features have been combined and bioclimatic elements have been incorporated into the design and construction. The villas have four solar panels that provide hot water all year round. All electronic devices belong to the A class when it comes to energy efficiency. Our medium-term objective is to achieve energy autonomy, i.e. 100% renewable energy sources.
In the surrounding gardens and fields, seasonal fruits, herbs and vegetables are grown, strictly without the use of pesticides and insecticides. The crops are grown with an emphasis on the continuous enrichment of the soil with naturally composted fertilizers and with rich foliage. Depending on the season, you can taste these organic products for free. In September there are many figs, prickly pears and blackberries.
